Today is the 15th day of Lunar New Year, and to wrap up the celebration’s completion, I wanted to share some photos of my Lunar New Year dinner at Botanic House located inside Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden.
The Botanic House offers modern Asian cuisine by chef Luke Nguyen. My friend and I celebrated the Year of the Rabbit with their ten course tasting dinner for $110pp.
The tasting menu consisted of two shared snacks including Amuse-Bouche and Vietnamese Sesame Crackers; five shared entree including Squid and Chive Shumai, Seared Hokkaido Scallops, Chicken Skewers, Honey grilled Berkshire Pork Neck and Grilled Atlantic Salmon; two shared main including Pan fried Barramundi Fillets and BBQ Roasted Duck; and the final dessert course was a Vietnamese Coconut Cake with Mango Pudding and Olive Oil Ice Cream. We paired our dinner with Yuzu Margarita, and Strawberry Gin and Raspberry Tonic cocktails.
It sure was a Lunar New Year feast for us two ladies! Our favourite were the Sesame Crackers and Shumai. Check out some of the photos we took and let me know what you think!
